How can we gain inspiration? (Random Talk)

 TURN OFF THE SCREEN.

            WELL... NOT REALLY...

OR MAYBE TURN IT OFF WHEN THINKING.

Today as i was about to go out on a walk to the park i had this catchy alternative rock song in my mind, it wasn't from a band or artist, it was from me, i imagined it on the spot, riff, bassline, lyrics, chorus and bridge, beginning and end.

But then i made the genius idea of going back to checking my phone and go on with my day, as i was about to search on my mental hard drive for the song it wasn't there anymore... i lost it,  obviously you can't write a song from your mind, otherwise it would be like..

"DUN... DUN DUN DUN... DUN DUN... DUUUUUUN DUN DUN.... DUN"

Maybe we can all get inspired by just being away from the invisible obligations of the modern world, that being the screens, social media, etc. Boredom is not only your friend, it is your ALLY, your bridge between you and what you can really get on paper when the time comes, without needing confirmation from others.

I get my inspiration from boredom, it feels like a door that opens and i just walk inside on autopilot, writing, reading, listening to music, then staying AWAY from those things and just be you and blank noise really makes you think on creating rather than consuming.

So yeah, try it yourself!

Detoxifying from the screens

Lately i've been realizing that the reason why i feel so irritated and overwhelmed is due to me using the computer to much and using it just to fuck around instead of using my computer as a tool.

So i made the changed and i already see progress on how i feel, fortunately having my own blog works for me due because it's MY space where i can talk about anything and the fact that people MIGHT see this but at the same time not a lot of people will see it makes it better.

So this is what i do lately.

- I spend all day with the screens turned off, use the computer 3 hours max (not even that)

- I take walks so i fill my movement quota

- i stay away from shit like porn because it's overall a waste of time and the reward is not even that good.

So keeping those habits have made my days better and i've been feeling much more stable in the long run!

In other news, i start a new job this monday, i'm chill relaxed about it though, i already have retail experience and the place is quite compact not a massive store which is great.

I kept the radio off atm because i only have this computer and i gotta have turned it on 24/7 but that doesn't mean radio transmissions will be gone forever, there is a chance that i'll start using the radio only for personal podcast streams instead of pure music but this is just an idea for the future.

I totally recommend this keyboard

So a week ago i made the decision to spend about 75 dollars on a keyboard, i've been using a semi-mechanical keyboard called Genius Scorpion K10, it was quite the good keyboard for the price, it was sturdy and heavy, it had a decent sound it kinda sounded like a red switch on a standard mechanical keyboard.

It was like 30 dollars back in 2020, so as you can tell i had the same keyboard for a LONG TIME, meaning it went through everything, at this point it was a crusty mess i couldn't even clean it, i think it had a whole civilization inside ready to go to the moon.

This new keyboard though i totally recommend, it's the Royal Kludge R87Pro, it has creamy switches, they sound soft and they come pre lubricated, in terms of looks..

It's just your typical mechanical keyboard look, at this point they all look the same, the pro version has the volume knob, if you click it you can mute stuff, but what i like about this model is that it's not a gimmicky keyboard, meaning everything has a specific function.

But the most important thing for me was the switches, they sound so good, it really has that "creamy" sound, i never get tired of it, first keyboard that you ACTUALLY want to keep typing, it has a very tactile feel and it's very satisfying. SO YEAH GO BUY IT YOU WON'T BE DISAPPOINTED

pros:
satisfying sound
well made high quality
buttons and functions have a purpose

cons:
expensive-ish
uses cable but i don't care
The software doesn't really work so all you can do is use the RGB options on the keyboard itself, but in my case i don't use RGB at all so i don't care

VERY RECOMMENDED!!

Announcing UnrealPsyence Radio!

A little thing i made last night, now you can listen to the music i listen to!

setting up your own radio online is quite easy and very customizable, the only thing to keep in mind is what program you use for your transmissions since it can share data like artist and song but not album art, i'll work on that in the future

You might have noticed the big widget on the right side where you can hit play and listen to it while you're reading my posts, it's pretty cool, for now it's all kinda simple but if you're into radio listening go check out my station.

LISTEN TO THE RADIO NOW!!

Goodbye twitter

As the title of this update suggests, i want to live a simple life, in order to do that i want to quit technology slowly, although im a programmer, i want to start changing my habits, im currently kinda overstimulated due to the constant bombardment of social media and ai, i left all of that, turned all my screens in black and white and it actually works, it's a good trick to calm your brain, it doesn't feel overwhelmed since you don't have to constantly focus on stuff.

Mentally i don't have any underline issues, i just didn't have a healthy limit, so from now on those are gonna be my rules, i don't think i'm going to deal with withdrawal, i mean the max thing i'll probably feel is a sense of "something's missing" but that's a good thing, that means im healing, it's motivating.

I can't stress enough how good it feels to turn off everything, all the screens and just focus on the real world for once, also i'm gonna quit videogames, i love videogames, everyone loves videogames, but again i don't need to depend on something, i don't like depending on something to be happy or to feel fulfilled, i want to be happy writing stuff like this! and it works, first time in a while i got the motivation to write full paragraphs!

Mental health stuff aside, maybe the new reason i'm typing too much is that i got a new keyboard, it's a Royal Kludge R87Pro or something like that, it feels very smooth to type.

I told myself yesterday i would begin writing daily stuff in here and i think that's a bit overkill, so i'll just keep it at once or twice a week.

What am i gonna talk about? anything really, just stay tuned!
